ZOOM INFORMATION
Both lawyers and litigants might be able to appear in court through Zoom and not in person. HOWEVER not every judge is available for zoom every day of the week. Also, EVERY judge requires lawyers and litigants to appear IN PERSON for hearings unless you have special permission to attend by Zoom.
Below is a list of all the judges in the family law division and their courtroom number. Note that Judges change regularly so make sure the information provided is updated as it may not match the judge currently assigned to your case. Finally, if a judge is out for your scheduled day, another judge will be handling the case. You have to find out which one and you may need to enter one of the other judge's courtroom to message the clerk and ask.
CLICK HERE for a link to all Will County judges and then select the judge for your case. You will then be brought directly into their Zoom Room.
These are the current assignments as of March 2025. Also listed are the days they have Zoom court. On those days you can appear for a status or to "present" your motion for scheduling.
Note that when you file a motion, you will get a "presentation date". That is when you appear and schedule your actual hearing date. Only properly filed emergency motions are heard on the first date and you would need to appear in person for that and show proof that the othjer side was properly notified and that a genuine emergency exists.
