Agreed Divorces
Terms of Use
We have simplified the complexities of getting divorced. No longer does divorce
have to follow the traditional path of costly litigation that grinds the parties down.
In our free initial consultation, one of our experienced attorneys will discuss ALL
your options.
What are those options?
1) Party-negotiated Divorces. This is where your issues are relatively minor and
the parties are able to work together to arrive at what they want. Generally there is
no pension to divide, no major asset to value and no maintenance (alimony) to set.
2) Mediated Divorces. This is where the parties agree to attend mediation even
before the divorce is filed. At mediation, both sides have the benefit of getting
information and hearing their options with the assistance of an experienced
attorney - some are retired family court judges.
3) Collaborative Divorces. This is where both spouses retain an attorney to first
attempt a negotiated divorce and to arrive at a settlement before the parties
financial and family life becomes the subject of public litigation
4) Litigation - again, for us, it is a last resort
Since every divorce is different, you should discuss all your options with an
experienced attorney as some options will not work. It takes two to come up with
an agreement and if one spouse refuses to work on an agreed divorce,
unfortunately many options are off the table. To begin the process of assessing
your options, call (815) 954-8175
